MScGIS Students Win Bronze Medal at the
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Public Administration Data Analytics Contests 2025-2026
Students from Department of Geography and Resource Management pursuing the Master of Science in GeoInformation Science and Smart Cities(MScGIS) program won the bronze medal at the grand final of the Hong Kong division of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Public Administration Data Analytics Contest 2025-2026. The event was held at Sun Yat-sen University, drawing participation from various academic institutions across the region.
The winning team, comprised of Jiang Xintong, Xu Xiangbo, Cui Zhixin, Sun Jinrong, and Li Kaize, showcased their exceptional analytical capabilities and innovative thinking. Their project centered on Youth Mental Health, leveraging the technology of Geoinformation Science for in-depth exploration, demonstrating both creativity and practical relevance.

Guided by their mentor, Prof.Liu Yan, the team worked tirelessly to prepare for the competition. Prof. Liu expressed her pride in the students' achievement, stating, “Their hard work, collaboration, and determination truly paid off. Winning the bronze medal reflects their commitment to applying academic knowledge to real-world problems.”
