GRM successfully hosted Hong Kong Geography Day on 23 November 2024. This year’s theme, “Sustainability Plus: The Greater Bay Area and Beyond”, explored critical sustainability challenges and opportunities in the region. 

The event featured keynote speeches by Prof. Bao Jigang from Sun Yat-sen University and Prof. Kwan Mei-Po from CUHK at the opening ceremony, Research Seminars on sustainability, Postgraduate Student Paper and Poster Competition, Secondary School Talk by experienced geography educators, GRM Open House, and a field trip to Kowloon Bay. The event attracted over 800 participants from Hong Kong and across the Greater Bay Area.
